SANDOW is hiring a Staff Accountant to perform full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation. The position is remote-first with occasional on-site work at our Boca Raton, FL office, coordinating with the corporate team on financial processes and audits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities and journal entries for all accounts.
• Conduct balance sheet and P&L analysis and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Reconcile cash, AR, and deferred revenue; publish monthly statements.
• Ensure correct revenue/expense coding with Finance team.
• Develop proficiency with financial and billing systems related to the role.
• Assist with audit schedules and supporting documents.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

SANDOW is hiring a Staff Account that has direct experience with full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-oriented. This is a key position on the Accounting team, reporting to the Director of Accounting, that offers the opportunity to take on new challenges and expand responsibilities; with the right attitude and initiative, this candidate will grow their career at SANDOW.

SANDOW is a remote-first company; however, our corporate office is located in Boca Raton, FL, and the candidate should be able to work on-site from time to time

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries for all accounts within the assigned brand(s).
• Perform reconciliations and detailed balance sheet and P&L account analysis to ensure the accounting records accurately reflect the company’s financial position and results in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
• Reconcile cash and bank accounts, and be responsible for reconciling Accounts Receivable and Deferred Revenue.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Work with the Finance team to ensure revenue and expense coding is applied correctly and consistently.
• Develop proficiency with all financial and billing systems related to the position.
• Assist with preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation during interim and year-end audits.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of related, progressive accounting experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to do hands‑on work at all levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
