The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site position located in Bangor, ME. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities including processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts. The Staff Accountant assists with month-end and year-end closing, supports budget preparation, and produces routine financial reports for management. The position ensures compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards, maintains accurate financial records, and collaborates with program and administrative staff to address accounting inquiries. The role may also support audits, grant reporting, and other finance projects as needed.
