CRH Americas Materials in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team. The role offers learning opportunities within a dynamic environment and exposure to back-office accounting processes across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with at least 1 year of corporate accounting experience and proficiency in MS Office. The position requires travel readiness and a strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy

Responsibilities

• Process debt statement journals and related entries.
• Process weekly back office expense approvals via Concur for three corporate entities.
• Prepare weekly general ledger entries for employee T&E expenses.
• Handle bank deposits and related journal entries.
• Assist with monthly bank and GL reconciliations.
• Support manual ACH/Wire payment processing and related schedules.
• Assist in company allocations and audit requests.
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Maintain professional demeanor and dependability at all times.

Position Overview

Located in Atlanta, GA, CRH Americas Materials Corporate Finance is currently recruiting for the position of Staff Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Debt Statement Processing - including preparation of debt statement journals.
• Process weekly back office expense approvals via Concur for three corporate entities.
• Prepare weekly general ledger entries related to employee T&E expenses.
• Bank deposits and related journal entries.
• Assist with monthly bank and GL account reconciliations.
• Backup for manual ACH/Wire payment processing and supporting schedules.
• Assist with preparing company allocations.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Other duties as directed by the Finance Team.
• Assist in ongoing process improvement and automation.
• Maintain professional demeanor at all times while representing the company
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in accounting in a Corporate environment preferred

Work Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• 18 years in age or older
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required

Work Environment
