Job summary

Accountants One, Inc. is conducting an exclusive search for a Staff Accountant in Atlanta. We are seeking a candidate with 2–3+ years of progressive accounting experience who can take ownership and contribute across the finance function, working closely with senior leadership.

This in-office role offers broad exposure beyond traditional accounting, including budgeting, variance analysis, and process improvements, with direct access to the Director of Finance and leadership team.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP and Excel skills.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable in a small, collaborative team environment.
• ERP experience: SAP, Great Plains, NetSuite or Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting across multiple entities.
• Own month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting and perform variance analysis.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial presentations.
• Support audit and tax workpaper preparation.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects.
• Help improve accounting systems and processes.
• Direct exposure to the Director of Finance and leadership.
