Job summary

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Arlington, VA is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations across our restaurant brands. You will work closely with the Director of Finance/Accounting to maintain accurate records, perform reconciliations, and prepare reports.

The role requires 2–4 years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience with Workday or Paylocity is a plus.
• Multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or retail experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, journal entries, A/P, and A/R.
• Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor daily banking activity, deposits, cash balances, and card transactions.
• Review corporate credit card activity and reporting.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for restaurant operations.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate concerns to leadership.
• Assist with improving accounting processes, policies, and procedures.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in Arlington, VA.

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting and financial operations across our restaurant brands. This position will work closely with the Director of Finance/Accounting to maintain accurate financial records, complete reconciliations, prepare reports, and provide financial support to our restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, journal entries, A/P, and A/R.
