The Grand Canyon Conservancy seeks a Staff Accountant to manage accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support financial assessments. This remote position requires a strong accounting background, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication skills.
Staff Accountant
As theofficial philanthropic and collaborativepartner of Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon Conservancy’s mission is to inspiregenerations of park champions tocherish andsupport the natural and cultural wonder of Grand Canyon. GCC raises private funds, operates retail shops within the park, and provides premier educational programs about the natural and cultural history of the region.
Grand Canyon Conservancy is currently seeking a Staff Accountant who is responsible for assigned accounting operations, which include processing sales/reservations transactions, cash collections, deposit management (including donations), inventory transactions, and royalty activities. This position supports the application of internal controls to GCC business operations and transactions. The Staff Accountant is instrumental in ensuring that the Finance Department performs required duties and tasks as scheduled and complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The Staff Accountant position is a remote, Arizona-based, non-exempt, full-time, benefit-eligible position that reports to the Accounting Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring the proper and timely recording of revenue transactions from all revenue streams and bank activities.

TOTAL COMPENSATION
GCC provides a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation and holiday pay, sick leave, Canyon Experience Days, an employer-supplemented health benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and health savings account (HSA) plan, employer-paid long-term disability and life insurance, an employer-paid 401(k) retirement plan, and discounts in our retail stores and Grand Canyon Conservancy Field Institute offerings. The hiring salary for the position is 65K annually.
