SUMMARY

As a Stacker Operator, you will support machine operators by helping prepare equipment, stack finished products, monitor quality, and keep the work area safe and organized. This is a hands-on role that offers opportunities to learn manufacturing processes and develop skills for advancement within the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow work instructions, production orders, and safety procedures.
  • Assist with machine setup and preparation before production runs.
  • Load materials and supplies needed for production, including cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags.
  • Stack finished boxes and materials according to production requirements.
  • Verify that each unit is properly labeled and packaged.
  • Check product quality during production and report any issues to the machine operator.
  • Help operators and team members as needed to keep production running smoothly.
  • Maintain accurate counts of bundles, units, and finished products.
  • Report production counts and completed work to the operator.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Identify equipment issues and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Support production schedules by helping meet quality, service, and productivity goals.
  • Be willing to learn new skills and advance into higher-level production positions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience.
  • Experience in the corrugated packaging industry.
  • Previous experience working as a Bundler or Production Helper.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and team members.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement calculations.
  • Ability to understand production counts and quantities.
PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
  • Ability to follow instructions and make sound decisions in routine work situations.
  • Ability to recognize and report quality, safety, or equipment concerns.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Training will be provided; however, successful candidates should be willing to learn:

  • Basic machine operation and production processes.
  • Product specifications and quality requirements.
  • Manufacturing safety practices.
  • Equipment capabilities and proper operating procedures.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • Forklift certification may be required or provided based on business needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, employees must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently use hands and arms to handle materials and products.
  • Bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain visual focus for inspecting products and operating safely around equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing facility around operating machinery and equipment.
  • Employees may be exposed to noise, humidity, dust, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
  • Safety is a top priority, and all employees are expected to follow established safety procedures at all times.
