Job summary

Us Display Group in Dover, DE is seeking a production helper responsible for stacking equipment, assisting operators, and supporting setup, operation and cleanup to keep lines moving. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and candidates with corrugated industry experience are preferred.

You will monitor the quality of finished boxes, report issues, help maintain safety, and contribute to maintaining good housekeeping while supporting continuous improvements on the line.

Responsible for all activities associated with stacking the equipment and helping the operators including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Set up bundler, hold down arm, load former, and deliver the end of machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Secure proper cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags for production runs.
• Stack finished boxes in accordance with the factory master.
• Ensure each unit has proper top and bottom cover sheets, tie sheets, and load tags.
• Monitor the quality of boxes and report quality problems to Operator.
• Assist operator and assistant operator as necessary.
• Be willing to move up the line of progression to the operator regardless of shift.
• Ensure correct bundle and unit counts.
• Report the final count of piece units to the operator.
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
• Helps operators adhere to production schedules. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED.

Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following: Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
