Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Stacker Crane Operator for the Evening Shift (2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM) in Brenham, Texas. Starting rate is $20.34/hour with built-in pay progression and a $1.00/hour shift differential for off-shift work.

The role supports storeroom, shipping and manufacturing, requiring inventory accuracy, material handling, and basic measurement skills. Opportunities for wage reviews and discretionary bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Read tape measure and micrometer.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read & write, perform basic math: add, subtract, decimals and fractions.
• Become a certified forklift operator.
• Become proficient in operating a straddle truck.
• Complete overhead crane training program.

Responsibilities

• Operate stacker crane to support storeroom, shipping and manufacturing.
• Use tape measure and micrometer to measure dimensions of raw material.
• Frequently operates straddle trucks and forklifts to move product to its proper location.
• Maintain inventory accuracy while performing staging, loading/unloading, and delivery of product and materials.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Use inventory picklists to remove product from inventory to manufacturing WIP orders and shipping orders.
• Load product and materials on trailers from inventory locations and stage loaded trailers in trailer staging area.
• Transport bolsters materials to staging areas and to/from inventory locations.
• Help perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Report unsafe issues to the department lead person, supervisor or maintenance technician.
