Job summary

Culver Academies is seeking a Stable Manager to lead daily care for a 94-horse herd in the Horsemanship program. You will supervise up to 16 rider/grooms and 4 evening staff, schedule shifts seven days a week, and report to the Director of Horsemanship to ensure a fit, healthy herd for training outputs.

The role demands 8+ years in stable yard management, an equine-science degree preferred, strong communication, people management, safety, planning, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in stable yard management with over 50 horses.
• Degree in equine management or equine science is preferred.
• Must be an effective communicator, able to interact in a professional manner.
• People management experience leading a team of 12+ employees.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency.
• Current valid driver’s license; CDL preferred; clean driving record.
• Available for travel on overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and manages daily care for a herd of 94 horses within the Horsemanship program.
• Manages up to 16 rider/grooms and 4 second shift grooms, including scheduling.
• Collaborates with the Director of Horsemanship to maintain a fit and healthy herd for training outputs.
