Night Shift Production Supervisor
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reporting directly to the Flaking Production Supervisor, the Supervisor is responsible for leading the Flaking department production team to meet daily production objectives and ensure smooth operations of the department. The Supervisor provides day-to-day support to the Production Supervisor.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Position-specific vocational education/experience, training, or certification is preferred
Kind & Length of Experience:
- 5+ Years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a highly regulated industry (Food, Pharma, etc.)
- Previous frontline leader training preferred
- Working understanding of LEAN methodologies and Continuous improvement Principles is preferred.
- Previous experience guiding a team through transformation and transitions is a plus.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
- Maintain positive and active communication with employees and other departments to achieve stated manufacturing objectives.

- Show leadership and commitment to RC14001/EHS&S.

- Maintain a safe and secure workplace and meet environmental site requirements.
- Accurately and timely report accidents and incidents to EHS&S and other appropriate departments.
- Participate in required EHS&S and quality training.
- Manage direct reports' time and attendance daily to ensure accuracy.
- Assist leads and hourly team members with day-to-day production as needed and help with efforts focused on increasing production without sacrificing safety or quality standards.
- Assist department supervisors by applying quality system to support problem solving and track corrective actions.
- Ensure proper headcount planning with qualified personnel to efficiently run the production line.
- Analyze and report downtime accurately to increase output.
- Effective problem solver with focus on permanent process improvements.
- Support team members in completing company training programs at or above target rates.
- Conduct annual reviews to create growth paths for team members.
- Assess training needs with the training coordinator.
- Support hands-on training and onboarding with proper follow-through.
- Lead project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
- Develop or update project plans for IT projects, including objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
- Identify and resolve project problems in collaboration with project personnel.
- Ensure project results meet quality standards.
- Coordinate activities of project team members.
- Establish and execute a project communication plan.
- Assign duties, responsibilities, and authority spans to project personnel.
