Job summary

Cross Country Education in St. Clair Shores, MI is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to help students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and reach their full potential.

The role provides specialized instruction in ELA or Math in a resource setting and requires developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs. You will collaborate with families and school staff to adapt curriculum, implement accommodations, and promote student success, while maintaining compliance with IDEA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Michigan teaching certificate with SPED endorsement required.
• ELA or Math endorsement required/relevant to assignment.
• Experience in special education settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in ELA or Math to students with diverse learning needs in a resource setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to support progress and individualized learning goals.
• Collaborate with families and school staff to adapt curriculum, implement accommodations, and promote student success.
• Maintain compliance with IDEA and MARSE while fostering a supportive learning environment.
