Job summary

Position Details

The Supportive Service for Veteran Families (SSVF) is a program that provides assistance to very low-income Veteran families who are experiencing homelessness and/or are at imminent risk of homelessness to gain and retain stable housing.

The SSVF Intake Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for Veterans and their families and is responsible for the initial intake and eligibility for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. This role exercises discretion and judgment in determining eligibility, prioritizing client needs, coordinating entry into services, and supporting program compliance.

Minimum Qualifications (or Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience)

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and two years of related experience required. Effective verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills required. Ability with training to use computerized case management applications to enter and track participant information; ability to understand and explain program details and workflow required.

Desirable Qualifications

Experiential knowledge as a military veteran and/or with homelessness; training, education, or experience with social services support desirable. Knowledge of the HUD Homeless Management Information System desired.

Anticipated Pay Range $50,000-$60,000
