New Beginnings in Santa Barbara is hiring a Case Manager for the SSVF program. The role involves providing housing-focused case management to veterans and their families in South County, coordinating with landlords, and connecting clients to resources and benefits.
Some clinical hours may be gained; supervision is provided. The ideal candidate will have experience with veterans or the homeless population, strong boundaries, and the ability to multitask while working autonomously.
40 hours per week/full-time, non-exempt Case Manager position. Program provides eviction prevention and rapid rehousing case management for veterans and their families in South County who are struggling with housing instability. Mental health background/intern registration, post-doc, or licensure preferred but not required. Bilingual is helpful but not required. Veteran status or previous experience working with veterans is a huge plus.
In addition, this position will serve as the SSVF representative at South County Veterans Treatment Court and at the Coordinated Entry System Case Conferencing Meetings. This is not a clinical position, but some clinical hours may be gained towards licensure, and weekly supervision is provided.
Work hours are Monday – Friday, 9-5, although there will be some nighttime and weekend hours on occasion to attend community events and/or to manage any off‑hour client crises that may arise.
Starting salary range is $26.00 – $29.00 per hour (DOE), with medical, dental, and vision benefits provided, 403(b) participation and match, and generous paid time off. Position begins asap. This is not a remote position.
