Job summary

Arcfield, located in the Washington, DC area, is seeking a senior technical leader to support the SSN(X) hydrodynamics portfolio. You will provide day-to-day on-site technical and programmatic support to the Technical Director, Ship Design Manager, and Project Officer for the PMS 351 submarine program.

  • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7
  • Active SECRET clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field related to Hydrodynamics/Naval Architecture (Aerospace, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering), or 4 years of submarine technical experience
  • Programmatic experience managing projects or programs

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day on-site technical and programmatic support to the Technical Director, Ship Design Manager, and Project Officer for the SSN(X) future attack submarine program (PMS 351).
  • Provide strategic technical and programmatic leadership to the hydrodynamics community; coordinate with NAVSEA stakeholders to scope technical efforts and align tasking across performers.
  • Manage execution of design, development, and integration activities within the SSN(X) hydrodynamics portfolio.
  • Generate technical and programmatic documentation; coordinate actions between the Project Officer, financial staff, and technical performers (Warfare Centers, UARCs, FFRDCs, Design Yards, and other stakeholders).
  • Develop strategies, plans, schedules, and briefing materials supporting near- and long-term technical and R&D planning.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation prioritizing trade space candidates; recommend current/future FY funding levels.
  • Track execution of tasking throughout the fiscal year; document deliverable receipt and determine future deliverables.
  • Plan and coordinate stakeholder meetings and working groups with subject matter experts to define specific technical solutions.

Equal Pay Act

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield ’s benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Short Term and Long-Term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections. Min: $137,654.90 Max: $239,355.16
