Job summary

Prodapt ASIC Services (formerly Innovative Logic) is seeking a Test Engineer to join the NVMe functional test team. You will plan, execute, and debug tests on NVMe SSDs, with a strong emphasis on failure triage across multiple teams including test development, test execution, and SSD firmware.

The role requires expertise in NVMe/PCIe or similar protocols, proficiency in scripting (Python preferred), and hands-on experience in SSD testing and diagnosing failures.

Qualifications

• SSD front-end protocol expertise (NVMe/PCIe, SAS, USB; NVMe preferred).
• Scripting experience; Python preferred; SSD/HDD testing familiarity.
• Experience in failure triage and diagnostic analysis.
• Ability to determine if failures stem from SSD firmware or test scripts/setup.
• Collaboration with test development, test execution, and SSD firmware teams.

Summary:

Looking for Test engineer in the NVMe functional test team in Client's enterprise product division. Candidate will work on NVMe Solid State Drives on planning, execution and debug of functional tests, with special emphasis on failure triage.

Job Requirements:

Skills:

• SSD Protocol: Candidate must have expertise in at least one front end storage protocol like NVMe/PCIe, SAS, USB - NVMe is preferred.
• Test scripting: Candidate needs to be familiar with scripting, python language skills desired, and familiar with SSD or HDD testing.
• Failure triage: Candidate must have experience in failure triage, which is a key aspect of the job.
• Combining protocol knowledge, test script knowledge and test execution history, the candidate would need to determine if the test execution failure is related to SSD device firmware or related to test scripts / test set-up.
• During failure triage, the candidate will work with the test development team, test execution team and SSD firmware development team.
