Job summary
Glocomms is partnering with a leading semiconductor firm to recruit a Firmware Engineer for SSD firmware development. The role focuses on architecture, implementation, testing, and optimization of high-performance storage solutions, involving NVMe and PCIe technologies in collaboration with firmware, hardware, and validation teams.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++, and experience in SSD/storage domains.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Strong C/C++ programming experience.
- SSD firmware, storage technologies, or semiconductor products experience.
- Knowledge of NVMe, PCIe, NAND Flash, and storage controller architectures.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance firmware for SSD and storage controller products.
- Implement and optimize NVMe and PCIe protocol functionality, including command processing and host communication.
- Develop firmware features focused on performance, reliability, compliance, and interoperability.
- Perform firmware validation, debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Support protocol compliance, system integration, and engineering validation activities.
- Analyze firmware logs and debug complex issues using industry-standard tools and analyzers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical documentation, test planning, and product release activities.
