Job summary

Direct Connection within Stellantis is expanding its OEM-grade performance parts portfolio. This role develops, validates, and releases performance parts for the Direct Connection catalog, including vehicle-based upgrades and support for the Mopar/DC Crate Engine team.

You will ensure assemblies meet program objectives for cost, weight, performance, quality, manufacturing, and timing, and lead cross-functional supplier collaborations from concept through release.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related engineering field required.
  • 8+ years of experience in powertrain hardware engineering or performance parts development.
  • Strong knowledge of engine subsystem design and validation.
  • Experience with CAD systems and engineering quality tools (DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP).
  • Proven ability to lead supplier collaboration and cross-functional technical integration.

Responsibilities

  • Development of aftermarket performance hardware for Direct Connection
  • Support Crate Engine team with hardware engineering, validation and sign-off
  • Ensure compliance with Stellantis applicable design standards
  • Engage with suppliers, attend feasibility reviews, and ensure validation readiness
  • Ensure accurate BOMs, engineering documentation, and release packages for catalog launch
  • Support internal and external performance shops for concept development and prototype evaluation
  • Define validation requirements for performance upgrades, track testing, and approve test results.

Job description

Direct Connection is expanding its OEM‑grade performance parts portfolio. This position is responsible for developing, validating, and releasing performance parts for the Direct Connection catalog. This includes vehicle‑based performance upgrades as well as providing support for Mopar/DC Crate Engine team. The position will work to ensure that assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components meet program objectives for cost, weight, performance, quality, manufacturing, and timing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of aftermarket performance hardware for Direct Connection
  • Support Crate Engine team with hardware engineering, validation and sign‑off
  • Ensure compliance with Stellantis applicable design standards
  • Engage with suppliers, attend feasibility reviews, and ensure validation readiness
  • Ensure accurate BOMs, engineering documentation, and release packages for catalog launch
  • Support internal and external performance shops for concept development and prototype evaluation

  • Familiarity with turbocharger/supercharger systems, airflow, and thermal management
  • Strong communication, decision‑making, and technical leadership skills
