Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Lexington Country Place – Assisted Living & Memory Care. Reports to Director of Nursing.
Shift Details
7am‑7pm every other weekend; 7pm‑7am every other weekend. PRN shifts available.
Purpose
The CNA provides high‑quality care to residents and families, delivering hands‑on care, physical and emotional support as outlined in each resident’s Personalized Service Plan (PSP), while maintaining a safe, comfortable home‑like environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and updates of Personalized Service Plans; attend review meetings with families as requested.
- Follow the hydration schedule for residents during each shift.
- Complete resident meal attendance sheets; provide room service or account for residents who have not dined in the dining room.
- Know and comply with all resident rights.
- Initiate, assign, and assist with activities as appropriate.
- Check all assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, continence issues, and changes in condition.
- Use proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
- Check resident rooms daily for general cleanliness and neatness; take appropriate action and double‑check high‑risk rooms.
- Assist with conducting checks of laundry rooms and common areas—including bathrooms—for cleanliness and hazardous chemicals; take appropriate action (e.g., contact housekeeping, clean or secure chemicals).
- Complete all ADLs for assigned residents according to the PSP.
- Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly and reset as needed.
Qualifications
- High‑school education preferred; state CNA licensure required.
- Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living or Dementia care preferred.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours as needed.
