Job summary

3M in Flint, MI is seeking an ambitious Civil Engineer intern to help accelerate MongoDB infrastructure. The role involves defending uptime, building a fast PoC, and designing fault-tolerant systems with Kubernetes and Vue.js while translating compliance requirements into Selenium guardrails.

You will own the system lifecycle from prototype to production and address issues reported by users and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Ansible experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Portfolio that speaks louder than resume
• Strong working knowledge of MongoDB and Selenium

Responsibilities

• Defend uptime and respond to late-night incidents in Flint
• Spike a MongoDB PoC quickly to support a decision
• Architect fault-tolerant distributed systems using Kubernetes and Vue.js
• Translate tech rules into Selenium guardrails in the build
• Keep the Vue.js build pipeline green and deployment smooth
• Maintain a C# service during high-traffic periods in Flint
• Own full lifecycle of technology systems from prototype to production
• Investigate, diagnose, and fix user- and monitor-reported issues
