Optimum Communications Inc. is seeking an Site Reliability Engineer I to support and maintain virtualization and container platforms across data centers.

You will work with VMware, Nutanix AHV, and Kubernetes environments to ensure reliability, availability, and performance. This role is ideal for engineers building expertise in virtualization, Kubernetes, automation, and platform engineering within a large-scale enterprise.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience with VMware, Nutanix, or Kubernetes platforms.
• Familiarity with Talos Linux, OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu, or other Kubernetes distributions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Support VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and Nutanix AHV environments.
• Assist with cluster deployment, upgrades, and ongoing operations for Kubernetes platforms.
• Participate in incident response, RCA, and service restoration efforts.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, documentation, and automation scripts.
