Job summary

Optimum is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer I to support VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Kubernetes environments across multiple data centers. You will work with senior engineers to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of virtualization and container platforms in a large-scale enterprise.

The role targets engineers with foundational infrastructure experience who want to grow in virtualization, Kubernetes, automation, and platform engineering within a dynamic connectivity company.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Exposure to VMware, Nutanix, or Kubernetes platforms through professional, academic, lab, or home environments.
• Familiarity with Talos Linux, OpenShift, Rancher, Tanzu, or other Kubernetes distributions.

Responsibilities

• Hypervisor Administration for VMware vSphere, VCF, and Nutanix AHV environments.
• Kubernetes Platform Operations including deployment and monitoring.
• Site Reliability Engineering tasks such as incident response and RCA.
