Chevron seeks a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability of IT products and solutions. The role collaborates with DevOps and Agile teams to drive proactive incident prevention and elevate operational excellence.

Responsibilities include on-call support during U.S. business hours, SRE assessments, and driving maturity improvements using Chevron's SRE framework to enhance reliability through monitoring, logging, automation, and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
Experience supporting IT products and services in production environments.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex performance issues.
Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, automation, and operational support practices.

Responsibilities

Build and apply SRE knowledge to drive proactive incident prevention through performance analysis and process improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve production and critical system performance issues in Agile environments.
Provide on-call operational support during U.S. business hours and serve as a technical resource during major incidents.
Conduct SRE assessments, identify maturity gaps, and develop continuous improvement plans using Chevron's SRE framework.
Improve system reliability through monitoring, logging, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Define standards and best practices with the SRE Community of Practice across the enterprise.
