Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support Intel Community/DoD missions from Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance Java Spring Boot services and distributed systems in secure environments, building automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly and strong DevOps/ENG experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage code repositories, and participate in Agile ceremonies while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 3+ years experience.
• Must possess TS clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to pass a polygraph.
• Experience in SRE, DevOps, Systems/Software Engineering roles.
• Experience supporting and maintaining Java Spring Boot applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for classified environments and Agile methods.
• Experience with Bitbucket and GitLab version control.
• Ability to provide after-hours on-call support.
• DOD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or higher certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot Java Spring Boot applications and distributed services in classified environments.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis and drive improvements for stability.
• Develop code, automation scripts, and tooling to improve performance and maintainability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery processes in secure environments.
• Manage source code repositories and baselines using GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, configuration management, and releases.
• Collaborate with developers to improve observability through logging and monitoring.
• Assist deployment, administration, and troubleshooting of Kubernetes, Kafka, NiFi, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and ArgoCD.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide after-hours operational support on a rotational basis.
