Job summary

Northwood Space is a modern space infrastructure company building a global network of ground stations and real-time communications for satellite missions. We seek a Core individual contributor for the Northwood Infrastructure team to operate defined scope with depth in at least one area.

Responsibilities include owning parts of the infra stack, building IaC with Terraform and GitOps, on-call continuity, post-incident reviews, and collaboration with security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years building and operating production infrastructure.
• Experience across Linux, networking, cloud, IaC, containers, and CI/CD.
• Ownership of production systems end-to-end.
• On-call with reliability outcomes.
• Scripting in Python or Go for automation.
• Strong technical writing for docs.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate components of the infrastructure stack (CI/CD, app platform, cloud/IaC, networking, observability, security tooling).
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm, GitOps.
• Carry on-call for the infra stack and resolve incidents.
• Run post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with security and compliance on controls (Vault policies, IAM, SIEM, evidence collection).
• Automate repetitive manual tasks and improve systems.
• Write runbooks, design docs, and component docs.
• Collaborate across infra, product engineering, and ground station operations.
