Job summary

Workday seeks a Senior SRE/DevOps engineer to automate deployments and scale containerised apps within Kubernetes. You will support federal contracts and work across private cloud deployments, building self-service platforms for developers.

Applicants should have TS/SCI with CI POLY clearance, 3+ years of CI/CD and cloud experience, and be able to collaborate in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment. This hybrid role is based in Reston, VA.

Qualifications

Requires a TS/SCI with CI POLY clearance.
3+ years of SRE/DevOps experience automating deployments, scaling, and managing containerised apps in Kubernetes.
Public cloud experience (AWS or GCP).
3+ years of CI/CD tooling experience.

Responsibilities

Define, design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain automation infrastructure for configuration management and service deployment.
Improve operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks.
Build platforms enabling developers to interact with production in a self-service manner.
Collaborate with peers and partners to deliver results through teamwork.
Respond to production monitoring: triage, fix, and resolve incidents; conduct retros and drive improvement.
Engage in learning and innovation via hackathons and training offerings.
Occasional on-call rotation as part of the role.
