Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a qualified engineer to maintain and improve hybrid infrastructure for a US-based client. You will focus on reliability, automation, and secure, well-documented environments across cloud and on-premises systems.

You will build and manage Kubernetes environments, automate pipelines with GitHub CI/CD, and develop IaC scripts using Python, Terraform, and Puppet. The role requires hands-on SRE/DevOps experience and periodic on-site work in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and SRE practices across on-premises and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, including hybrid and private cloud environments.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation and scripting using Python, Puppet, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience managing GitHub CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure automation workflows.
• Understanding of server infrastructure and storage technologies, with the ability to collaborate with on-site colleagues on hardware maintenance.
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering, with an understanding of infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and automate hybrid cloud infrastructure to ensure reliable operations across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Manage and maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and consistent delivery processes.

• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to support system reliability and availability.
• Periodically visit on-premises datacenters to collaborate with on-site colleagues on hardware maintenance and configuration changes involving servers, storage systems, and hardware security modules (HSMs).
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to maintain secure, stable, and well-documented environments.

Job description

You'll focus on infrastructure reliability and automation, helping ensure the stability and availability of critical systems across cloud and on-premises environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The anticipated salary range for this role is 110,900 - 121,900 USD annually, in line with our internal compensation framework and budget allocation for the role. Most candidates are offered a salary within this disclosed range. If the role is eligible for a variable pay plan, this would be considered separately and may provide additional earnings beyond the base salary range reflected here.
