Job summary

The Department of Medicine at UCLA Health is seeking a Staff Research Associate III to support translational and clinical research using flow cytometry, cell sorting, and microscopy.

The SRA III will manage instrumentation, perform quality control and data analysis, oversee inventory, procurement, compliance, and maintenance, and collaborate with researchers to develop assays and advance publications and grant projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with flow cytometry and cell sorting equipment.
• Ability to read and understand scientific protocols and demonstrated knowledge of scientific research principles.
• Ability to manage inventory, procurement, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support translational and clinical research through flow cytometry, cell sorting, and microscopy operations.
• Manage and maintain state-of-the-art instrumentation and perform quality control and data analysis.
• Oversee laboratory operations including inventory management, reagent procurement, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with faculty, researchers, trainees, and external collaborators to develop assays and generate high-quality data.
