Job summary

Neovia Logistics in Aurora, IL is seeking a Senior Warehouse Equipment Operator for the 1st shift (Monday–Friday, with Saturday overtime). This role focuses on the safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers, while supporting inventory movement and shipping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of warehouse and logistics experience.
• 1 year of operating forklifts, reach trucks and cherry pickers.

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Train, coach, and assist new hires on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and productivity standards.
• Lead by example and promote a strong safety culture throughout the warehouse.
• Perform receiving, storage, inventory movement, replenishment, order picking, and shipping activities.
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Verify quantities, product information, destinations, and shipment details using source documents and warehouse management systems.
• Assist with inventory control and cycle count activities.
• Operate weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging equipment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment issues and assist with routine equipment inspections.
• Support warehouse leadership with daily operational priorities and special projects.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory and material movement.Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Equipment Operator to support warehouse and logistics operations while serving as a mentor and trainer for new hires. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers, as well as supporting inventory movement, shipping, receiving, and overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong logistics and warehouse experience, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to train and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum of2 years of warehouse and logistics experience.

Minimum of1 years of experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.

Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding new warehouse associates.

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, and receiving processes.

Ability to read, interpret, and complete warehouse documentation accurately.

Basic mathematical and computer skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Distribution center or high-volume logistics experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
