Systems Implementers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Web Back-End Developer to support the Hill AFB, Utah based enterprise web app. You will lead backend development, mentor junior developers, and help shape architecture for the APEX system used for depot maintenance and overhaul.

The role requires Java EE/Spring expertise, Oracle SQL experience, and the ability to work on-site with the team. DoD background check and U.S. citizenship are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or 4+ years software development experience.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in Java EE and Spring.
• Experience with Oracle or enterprise relational databases.
• Experience with microservice infrastructure.
• U.S. Citizen and able to pass a DoD background check.
• On-site work at Hill AFB, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and mentorship to Jr. and mid-tier developers and provide system architecture solutions and implementation plans for developer key members to execute
• Maintain and develop code
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure adherence to standards
• Perform integration testing to ensure quality control
• Participate in database modeling and design activities
• Collaborate with Analysts and Subject Matter Experts
• Create and maintain technical documentation for application features, system integrations, database changes, and support procedures.

Job Title: Senior Web Back-End Developer
Location: Hill AFB, UT
Job Type: Full-Time

Overview

Systems Implementers, Inc. (SI) is a contracted implementation consulting firm performing work at Hill AFB in Utah. We are always looking for motivated, energetic people who want to learn and grow with our business. The qualified applicant will become part of Systems Implementers software development team, to help maintain and develop APEX; an enterprise Web application that is used at Hill AFB to support depot maintenance, repair and overhaul. The applicant will also have the opportunity to be mentored by an exceptional team of engineers with experience in a variety of industries. This is a full-time, on-site position. Remote work is not available, and developers are required to report to the designated work location during regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and mentorship to Jr. and mid-tier developers and provide system architecture solutions and implementation plans for developer key members to execute

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or four additional years of relevant professional software-development experience
• 7+ years of relevant professional software-development experience
• Expertise in Java EE, specifically Spring
• Experience with Oracle or another enterprise relational database
• Experience with micro-service infrastructure
• Experience troubleshooting skills and the ability to problem solve
• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to pass a DoD Background check
• Ability to work on-site at Hill Air Force Base

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on Agile software development projects (i.e. using Sprint or Kanban methodologies)
• Experience designing data structures and/or user interfaces
• Certification in any of: CSSLP, CISSP, CASP, or Scrum Master
• Experience with any of the following technologies: Spring MVC AJAX Maven Tomcat/WebLogic Angular XML Eclipse SVN or Git JSON JPA/Hibernate Jira Oracle SQL & PL SQL
