Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Vehicle Technician 1 in Austin, TX to join the Maintenance Department supporting Fleet Operations. You will configure, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road operation, and perform scheduled maintenance.

The role requires extensive vehicle maintenance knowledge, 2–4 years of technician experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication. This hands-on position offers growth, safety-focused culture, and exposure to diverse vehicle systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of technician experience in a related field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean/excellent driving record.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road operation
• Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance
• Coordinate and drive the repair process, escalating issues to engineering teams as needed
• Create diagnostic test plans and maintain detailed service records and quality reports
