Job summary

Amazon Shopping Design seeks a UX Designer to define and drive the future of shopping at Amazon. You will own end-to-end experiences across voice and graphical interfaces, translating needs into simple, customer-focused solutions.

You will collaborate with design partners, engineering, product management, and marketing to deliver multi-modal experiences, prototypes, design specs, and patterns that scale for millions of customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience.
• Online portfolio or samples on resume demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design across desktop and mobile.
• Knowledge of mobile and web design patterns and accessibility standards.
• Portfolio demonstrating the product design lifecycle.

• Design solutions for difficult design and technical problems where product strategy is not fully defined
• Create conceptual sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes

Amazon Shopping Design seeks a UX Designer to define and drive the future of shopping at Amazon. In this role, you will work with voice and graphic interfaces in a fast-paced environment. From inception through launch, you will be a design owner, responsible for delivering ambitious concepts and using data to iterate and improve — translating needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions.

The Amazon Shopping Design team brings together curious designers who collaborate to power the Amazon shopping experience and deliver innovation at incredible scale. You will define, concept, and execute end-to-end experiences while working with your design partners and leadership. You will drive that vision into solid design deliverables, including multi-modal user interface designs and frameworks for voice and screen, interaction models, design specs, and prototypes. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and marketing — both inside our organization and with partner teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with early-stage product development for multi-modal consumer experiences and be passionate, focused, and relentless.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
• Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
• Knowledge of mobile and web design patterns and accessibility standards
• A portfolio demonstrating the product design lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Experience owning end-to-end programs to drive results
• Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly convey new concepts
• Experience working closely with development and product management teams
• Experience conducting usability and contextual research with customers
• Experience designing multi-modal product experiences, with conversancy in natural language conversation
• Experience defining and driving creative solutions in new or ambiguous product territory
• Experience as a lead design contributor for UX and conversational design

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
