Compensation:

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $93,800 to $156,400.

We are seeking a Senior User Experience Designer to enhance our enterprise applications and continue Grainger’s market leadership. This role involves designing UX for AI-driven experiences, working with product managers, engineers, and ML teams to incorporate generative AI into user experiences. Some travel is required, and the position can be hybrid in Lake Forest, IL, or downtown Chicago, or remote.

You Will:

• Collaborate with teams to create AI-integrated user experiences.
• Stay informed about AI and ML impacts on UX.
• Facilitate discussions to define user experience needs.
• Create concepts, user flows, and wireframes.
• Understand technical constraints and iterate designs.
• Evaluate and improve current experiences.
• Communicate design decisions and future considerations.
• Develop UX standards for AI-driven experiences.
• Conduct user research and testing.

You Have:

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction or related field.
• 3+ years UX experience, preferably in B2B and agile environments.
• Deep knowledge of usability and research best practices.
• Experience with AI/ML in UX design.
• Design experience for complex processes and pattern libraries.
• Proficiency with wireframing tools.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Proactive planning and decision-making abilities.
• Work samples demonstrating complexity handling and user empathy.
