We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Senior Underwriter to join Nationwide's Property and Casualty team, specializing in E&S/Specialty lines. This role offers the flexibility of remote work within the contiguous US and involves critical decision-making in risk assessment and insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing individual risks and determining acceptability, pricing, and coverage terms.
  • Achieving production and loss ratio goals through effective broker and territory management.
  • Analyzing premium and loss results, ensuring policy compliance, and handling policy maintenance.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with agents and reinsurers.
  • Marketing Nationwide products and developing new business strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Completion of relevant insurance courses (e.g., CPCU, CIC, ARM) is a plus.
  • At least four years of related experience, with two years in excess & surplus lines preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting policies, reinsurance, and market conditions.

Additional Details:

  • Reporting to the Underwriting Manager.
  • Normal office environment with some travel required.
  • Competitive salary range: $64,000 - $96,000, with a national range of $57,500 - $118,500.
  • Comprehensive benefits package available.
