Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate flagger activities for telecommunications construction projects.
• Place, remove, and repair traffic control devices.
• Supervise traffic flaggers and manage administrative functions for team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct pre-task safety planning.
• Inspect traffic control devices for safety and functionality.
• Direct traffic using signs, gestures, radios, or verbal commands.
• Maintain focus on safety at all times.
• Set up, maintain, and tear down work zones, exceeding expectations.
• Lift and place traffic cones and signs, up to 50 lbs.
• Organize and maintain equipment.
• Manage traffic flow, warn workers and drivers of hazards, and record violations.
• Assist in directing traffic and managing site safety reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in traffic control or related field.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good record.
• Flagger Certification and knowledge of MUTCD guidelines.
• Experience in traffic control, including 500 hours of flagging.
• Understanding of construction site safety rules.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Strong communication and instructional skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay ranges from $25-$27/hour based on experience, with overtime pay per California laws. Benefits include 401(k) matching, stock purchase plan, insurance options, paid time off, holidays, and family leave. Schedule is full-time, with hours varying by project needs.
