Job summary

Amazon is seeking a senior technical program manager to define, own, and drive cross‑functional technical programs within the Alexa Shopping domain. You will partner with product management and leadership to identify opportunities, align roadmaps and manage delivery outcomes across multiple engineering teams.

You will influence strategy, develop detailed project plans, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

In the Alexa Shopping team, we are working passionately to enable this vision by becoming the preferred way to capture and manage customer's shopping needs. By combining the ease of talking to Alexa with social shopping through sophisticated AI, we are transforming how customers shop in stores and online. We will intelligently help customers anticipate and keep track of what they need, save them time, and experience the best value during shopping. We will ensure they always get everything they needed without forgetting anything.

Key job responsibilities

• You will define, own and drive technical programs that span multiple engineering/science teams and organizational boundaries.
• You will partner with product management and technical leadership to identify shopping opportunities, identify new areas of investment, and work to align other group's engineering roadmaps to deliver on these opportunities and optimize delivery outcomes.
• As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across different Amazon Shopping organizations.
• You will develop detailed project plans, track progress against milestones, and provide regular status updates to leadership and cross-functional teams.

This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, technical and business leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
