Job summary

Think Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Testing & Commissioning Engineer for a nuclear facility engagement in Seattle, WA. The role entails proving out new equipment and its integration with operating plant systems, with a multi-year program through 2032. Defined-term arrangements are possible.

You will write test plans, execute tests, and verify performance of new equipment when tied into the plant, with emphasis on hands-on testing and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience writing and executing tests for new equipment integration.
• Background in commercial or naval nuclear environments preferred.
• On-site, full-time work required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or a PE license preferred.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Think's client is a nuclear power facility in an active growth phase needs an experienced Testing & Commissioning Engineer to prove out new equipment and its integration with the operating plant. The role supports a multi-year program expected to run through approximately 2032. A defined-term employment arrangement is also possible.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Write test plans and procedures for new equipment and for how it integrates with existing plant systems.
• Execute those tests and lead modification testing.
• Verify that new equipment performs as designed once it is tied into the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 5 years of applicable testing and commissioning experience (required).
• Extensive, hands-on experience writing and executing tests on new equipment and its integration with an operating plant.
• One or more of these backgrounds:
  • Former commercial nuclear Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license holder with deep modification-testing experience.
  • Naval nuclear experience that includes commissioning a new submarine or surface vessel.
  • Experience testing a nuclear plant after construction, or restarting one after an extended shutdown.
• Able to work on-site full time.
• Preferred: A bachelor's degree in engineering and/or a PE license.
