Mercury Systems is seeking a Senior Test Technician to test and troubleshoot state-of-the-art, complex digital system assemblies in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. This position is for a seasoned individual contributor in the Test sub‑family, working under limited supervision in routine and defined situations. The shift is 2nd shift 1:00 pm - 10:30 pm Monday‑Thursday, with alternate Friday 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm on a 9/80 schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply electronics principles in testing and troubleshooting high‑density multi‑system (CPU/FPGA) assemblies at board and system level.
- Perform functional test procedures that verify PCB and system fit, form, and functionality.
- Monitor diagnostics tests and measure performance on complex systems.
- Set up, deploy, and operate complex and specialized equipment/facilities across a broad spectrum of technologies.
- Validate product configuration, test processes and equipment/setup configuration.
- Measure, collect, and record performance data; prepare accurate test reports.
- Program and verify devices.
- Troubleshoot systems, devices, processes and test set‑ups to locate and repair defects.
- Assist engineers with process and operations to ensure proper function of product and test equipment per design specifications.
- Perform initial procedural tests on new or changed equipment and recommend modifications.
- Submit defect reports, non‑conforming materials reports, and communicate with production to resolve failures.
- Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing complex testing and moderate problem‑solving on digital systems and sub‑assemblies.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing quality standards and ability to read schematics or other technical data.
- Ability to prepare complex test reports in accordance with functional and acceptance testing procedures.
- Experience with thermal, shock, vibration and environmental tests.
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, serial emulators, networking devices and other laboratory equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to determine root cause of issues.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills; capable of working independently with minimal direction.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Competent with Microsoft Office, basic TCP/IP, serial communications, Linux, and command‑line scripts.
- Experience with Factory Logix, Oracle, Xilinx Suites, Dediprog, ProComm, SecureCRT, TeraTerm is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3‑5 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of Factory Logix, Oracle, Xilinx Suites, Dediprog, ProComm, SecureCRT, TeraTerm.
Salary Range
- $44,000.00 - $88,000.00 annual salary for in‑office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees.
- $49,300.00 - $98,600.00 annual salary for in‑office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA.
- $51,900.00 - $103,800.00 annual salary for in‑office or hybrid employees in NJ.
