Job summary

Omega EMS in San Jose, CA is seeking a Test Technician to join the test department. You will work with engineers to develop, maintain, debug and test electronic boards using ICT fixtures and standard procedures.

You will diagnose problems to component level, suggest test improvements, perform preventive maintenance, and transfer knowledge between shifts. Strong reading of schematics and attention to detail are essential; English communication is required.

Qualifications

• AA degree in electronics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation including schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and troubleshooting electronic circuit boards using test equipment, schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instruction
• Troubleshoot problems down to the component levels and root-causes
• Recommend changes and modification to improve quality of tests
• Perform preventative maintenance on ICT fixtures
• Provide technical assistance and leadership as needed
• Raise and review Technical Inquiries completed by department members
• Pass down any pertinent information from your shift to the next shift
• Other duties may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must posses troubleshooting skills to the component level using basic test equipment
• Must be detail oriented, thorough and well organized
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English proficiently
