Job Summary

Starkey is hiring a Sr. Test Engineer I in its global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in test engineering or automated test development. The candidate should be proficient in test systems architecture and integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated test systems for NPI and production environments.
• Integrate hardware and software components into robust test solutions.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to define test requirements and strategies.
• Develop and maintain test programs using LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Support NPI builds by ensuring test coverage and troubleshooting test-related issues.
• Analyze test data to identify opportunities for process improvement and yield enhancement.
• Optimise existing production test systems for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and test technicians.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Performance Measures

• Achieve quality, technology, schedule, and cost goals.
• Ensure test development activities and deliverables comply with the Starkey Quality Management System.
• Develop innovative, reusable, and sustainable test methods, hardware, and software.

Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in test engineering or automated test development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in test system architecture and integration.
• Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand preferred.
• Strong understanding of electronics, instrumentation, and measurement techniques.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Salary and Benefits

The target rate for this position is between $93,940 and $120,750 per year, subject to factors such as geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, company-paid life and short‑term disability insurance, long‑term disability insurance, employee assistance plan, hearing‑aid benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, paid floating holidays, paid volunteer service day, paid paternity and maternity leave, and tuition reimbursement. The position is eligible for a bonus based on performance results, with no guarantee of payout.
