Pilot Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance for employee housing and ensure compliance with state regulations. The role covers preventative repairs, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC support, working with tenants and multiple teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five years in preventive or apartment maintenance.
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
  • EPA Universal 608 certification required.
  • 3+ years HVAC service experience on commercial systems.
  • Experience repairing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • OSHA 10 training preferred/provided.
  • Ability to read site drawings and strong communication skills.

  • Collaborate with tenants to review and resolve open maintenance issues.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch; report steps taken for work order resolution.
  • Respond to corporate project requests; resolve issues and report findings to supervisors.
  • Communicate with multiple teams and management on a weekly or monthly basis to ensure compliance and consistency regarding housing projects.
  • Advise managers of maintenance concerns and ensure creation of workorder requests.
  • Utilize various computer systems to track and report maintenance requests.
  • Participate in company sponsored safety training classes.
  • Maintain own technical knowledge on all equipment within area of responsibility.

Job Description

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
  • Trade or vocational school preferred
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Minimum five years’ preventive or apartment maintenance experience required
  • Prior experience with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of recent commercial HVAC service experience required;EPA Universal 608certification required

  • Basic understanding of OSHA guidelines (OSHA 10 training provided)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Intermediate mathematical ability
  • Ability to read and interpret site drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in congested areas during business hours
