Sr. Technician
Job Location: US-MD-Baltimore

Overview
Completes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and/or Passenger Boarding Bridges. Mentors, trains, and assigns tasks of other personnel involved in maintenance and repair activities.
Responsibilities
- Complete basic maintenance assignments including preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance, clearing system jams, shift inspections, cleaning, and electrical or mechanical adjustments.
- Monitor system operation, diagnose equipment failures, and ensure equipment runs safely.
- Provide direction, guidance, and expertise to other personnel; conduct training and mentoring, assign tasks and may lead in the absence of senior personnel.
- Read and interpret repair manuals, basic schematics, and supervisor instructions.
- Work in tight and/or high spaces using appropriate PPE and fall protection.
- Follow and comply with all company and federally established policies and procedures; complete all applicable training courses.
- Complete forms related to work assignments according to procedures.
- Perform additional duties/assignments as required by management.
- Assist with basic maintenance such as sweeping, cleaning, and greasing.
- Complete all safety training as assigned by the Company.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum 3 years of previous mechanical or electrical experience.
- Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in an airport environment.
- Experience working on conveyors and/or passenger boarding bridges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of industrial concepts, practices, and procedures.
- HVAC, welding/brazing, and/or plumbing knowledge and skills.
- Minimum 3 years of basic electrical and/or electronic systems work experience.
- 4+ years industrial mechanical and/or electrical background.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with PLC logic, industrial electrical controls, and/or industrial HVAC certification.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience mentoring and directing maintenance personnel.

Basic computer knowledge with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must obtain and maintain an airport security badge.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s insurance policy.
- Must comply with the ELS Drug and Alcohol policy.
- Must be committed to working safely and promoting a safe work environment at all times.
Physical Demands
The position requires frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, crawling, squatting, bending, and kneeling, with the ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs frequently, occasionally or rarely lift heavier loads, and perform push/pull tasks up to 51+ lbs infrequently. Vision and hearing are required.
Work Environment
Work under an airport terminal in conditions that may contain dust, dirt and noise below OSHA action level.
