Sr. Technical Writer - REMOTE

Job Description

The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, reviewing, and publishing complex documentation. This position will coordinate, prioritize, and implement writing and documentation projects, including a rotating review and maintenance of existing documentation. The role involves collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), Trainers, Business Process Analysts, and management to develop and produce materials for new processes and plans.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop thorough knowledge of tools used at Prime for documenting processes and writing user guides, such as Microsoft Office Suite, RxCLAIM, Benefit Edit Tool, IBM Notes, CoverMyMeds, Clinical Review Engine, MSA, Clinical Operations Review Engine, and Prime Knowledge Resources.
  2. Write, review, edit, and publish documentation regularly to ensure information is current; update documentation as needed and communicate changes.
  3. Create new documentation (e.g., SOPs, desktop procedures, job aids, user guides, training materials, process flows) for new client or process implementations or when necessary.
  4. Ensure documentation templates, style, and layout conform to department standards.
  5. Collaborate with SMEs, Trainers, and Business Process Analysts to ensure accuracy in documentation.
  6. Mentor and coach other Technical Writers, lead large documentation projects, and support the development of team members.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience. HS diploma or GED required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical or process-specific documentation.
  • Experience with web-based workflow management systems like Confluence, SharePoint, or JIRA.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit, and Teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in PBM industry.
Physical Demands
  • Constant sitting, hand use, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
  • Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and focus adjustment.

All employees must adhere to security responsibilities, legal, regulatory, and internal policies.

Potential pay ranges from $74,000 to $118,000 depending on experience and skills.
