The Content Management Writer Sr. Analyst plays a critical role within RFP Strategy & Operations for Cigna's U.S. Commercial markets. This individual is responsible for creating and owning RFP responses that directly impact the overall new business and retention sales process. The Content Management Writer is responsible for partnering with subject matter experts (SMEs) across multiple products and capabilities to develop new content and ensure existing content remains current and accurate.

The Content Management Writer Sr. Analyst develops winning RFP responses, leveraging existing knowledge of Cigna Healthcare solutions, building relationships with SMEs, proactively developing proposal responses, and managing RFP timelines and strategies.

This role acts as a consultative partner within the RFP Strategy & Operations team, providing support and strategic input in creating, managing, and editing proposal content while adhering to writing standards. Additionally, the role involves supporting training, mentoring, technology enhancements, and process improvements as a content development expert.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Content Development: Maintain partnerships with experts and business owners to create compelling proposal responses; develop expertise in key areas; share best practices; create and update RFP content; ensure content accuracy; collaborate with internal teams; edit content per style guides; manage content review cycles and feedback; stay current on Cigna products and services.
  • Technology Efficiencies: Identify and implement improvements to RFP library technology; optimize search attributes; analyze content usage and archive records as needed.
  • Optimization Initiatives: Support process and content improvements; mentor team members; create and update SOPs and job aids; participate in team meetings.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Build relationships across teams; lead or support projects; identify process improvements; support leadership initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or extensive experience in English, Writing, Editing, Proposals, Knowledge Management, Communications, Sales, Product, or Marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word
  • Experience with RFPIO proposal software is a plus
  • Knowledge of Cigna’s products and services is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, editing, and writing skills (Chicago Manual of Style preferred)
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective networking skills within the company
  • Ability to adapt quickly and handle uncertainty
  • Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
