Job summary

Supermicro seeks a Sr. Trainer specializing in our product line to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive servicing and maintenance training. You will cover servers, networking, GPU, and storage with deep product knowledge to ensure service excellence and program quality.

The role requires 8 years in technical training, strong communication in English, LMS familiarity, and in‑office presence. You will contribute to global certification efforts and partner with product teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in training or a related field.
  • 8 years in a technical training role with enterprise server and data center experience.
  • Deep knowledge of x86 servers and complex technical problems.
  • Proficient with Linux CLI and scripting languages.
  • Experience with training and mentoring on scripting best practices.
  • Strong server infrastructure knowledge including clustering and RAID.
  • Familiarity with VMware, Windows, and storage components.
  • Hands-on with GPUs drivers installation (AMD/NVIDIA).
  • Ability to source and manage software via vendor/community repositories.
  • Comfortable with various server hardware and diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of liquid cooling is a plus.
  • Experience delivering e‑learning, webinars, and virtual training.
  • Excellent English communication; bilingual a plus.
  • Familiar with LMS and adult learning principles.
  • Certifications (CCNA, MCSE, Linux Admin, VMware) desirable.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within fast-paced teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging training materials on servicing Supermicro products.
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars to internal teams, partners, and customers.
  • Help build Global Service Education and Certification Program.
  • Collaborate with Service, Product, and other teams to refresh content.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge via the education portal and resources.
  • Engage stakeholders to support education and certification programs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Sr. Trainer specializing in Supermicro products and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on servicing and maintaining Supermicro's cutting‑edge technology products. This role involves a deep understanding of our product technology principles, including servers, networking, GPU, and storage, to ensure high‑quality training for service excellence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Design and develop engaging training materials and courses that cover servicing Supermicro products, including theoretical knowledge and practical skills
  • Delivery of Training: Conduct effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars for various audiences, including internal teams, partners, and customers, focusing on the servicing and maintenance of Supermicro products
  • Certification Programs: Help to create Supermicro's Global Service Education and Certification Program, ensuring it meets industry standards and the needs of our partners and customers
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Service Team, Product Managers, and other teams to continuously update and enhance training content based on new product developments and technology advancements
  • Technical Support and Updates: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Supermicro products and services, utilizing the Supermicro Education portal and other resources to enhance technical competencies
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the education and certification programs, driving continuous improvement and project delivery
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Training and Development, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of experience in a technical training role, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in enterprise servers, networking, and data center environments
  • In-depth knowledge of x86 server platforms and the ability to understand complex technical problems
  • Proficient in Linux, including basic to advanced command‑line operations
  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python) with the ability to train and mentor others on scripting best practices
  • Strong working knowledge of server infrastructure, with familiarity in the latest server technologies and components
  • Versed in commonly used operating systems and platforms including VMware, Windows, and storage components
  • Hands‑on experience with clustering, RAID controllers, networking switches, L2/L3 routing, and SFPs
  • Experience installing and configuring AMD and/or Nvidia GPU drivers; enterprise GPU experience a plus
  • Ability to navigate and manage infrastructure packages, including sourcing and installing software through vendor and community repositories
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of server hardware components and diagnostic/management tools
  • Knowledge of liquid cooling systems and implementation is a plus
  • Experience with e‑learning delivery methods, including webinars, distance learning, and virtual training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and adult learning principles
  • Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, Linux Administrator, VMware, or similar are highly desirable
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Please note that this position requires regular in‑office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In‑office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on‑site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$125,000 - $130,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
