Job ID: 2897476 | Amazon.com Services LLC
The Pricing Shared Services team prices everything shipped and sold by Amazon, worldwide, and cross-format. Our goal is to earn long-term customer trust by offering the best prices to customers, across hundreds of millions of prices every day. Experimentation, automation, and scalability are a core part of our mission statement. In this role, you will seamlessly transition from being the enterprising leader securing organizational alignment on strategic initiatives to delivering new high-performance, fault-tolerant capabilities that improve our prices without human intervention.
We are an interdisciplinary team of Product/Program Managers, Engineers, and Scientists incubating and building day one solutions using state-of-the-art technology to solve some of the toughest business problems at Amazon.
As the Principal TPM, you will partner with our clients and our engineering teams to identify innovation opportunities - new features, new systems, new integrations that deliver customer value at scale. You will inspect pricing strategies (heuristics, algorithms/ML models) and prioritize their onboarding as new clients, and you will follow through to be sure they realize quantifiable benefits from our systems. You will inform our products’ roadmap and be the voice of our direct clients and of their end customers. You will guide the evolution of our architecture, identifying the corner cases of today that you will help us turn into the main capabilities of tomorrow.
On a typical day, you will collaborate with PMs/SDMs/cross-team or cross-org partners to gain alignment, prioritize the roadmap, deep dive to root cause a customer issue, release the latest new feature, define and report business metrics, discuss radical new approaches to building and operating at scale.
The role sits within the Pricing Shared Services organization which is responsible for pricing across all Amazon Stores and their formats, earning our Customers’ trust with consistently low prices. We publish 5+ billion weekly prices for 20+ Amazon formats (Retail, third-party Sellers, Amazon Fresh, Promotions, Amazon Business, and others), own new pricing strategies and deliver them reliably at scale, and prevent errors in our prices. We own a central pricing infrastructure and federate it for our client formats, and utilize ML to automate our pricing decisions.
