Sr. Technical Program Manager - Networking, Kuiper Enterprise Network Infrastructure

Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead complex network infrastructure projects across our global Kuiper locations. This role will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of network deployments, from initial planning through implementation and handover, ensuring reliable connectivity for our facilities and contract manufacturers.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure projects for new manufacturing facilities, labs, and contract manufacturer locations
  2. Manage network lifecycle replacement initiatives and customer-driven network enhancement projects
  3. Coordinate cross-functional teams including network engineers, vendors, and stakeholders
  4. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource planning
  5. Identify and mitigate risks while managing scope and dependencies
  6. Drive technical decisions and tradeoffs with engineering teams
  7. Create and maintain project documentation and status reporting
  8. Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  2. 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  3. 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  4. Network Fundamentals Skills
  5. Experience with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
  6. Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects
  7. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
  2. AWS networking services knowledge (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway)
  3. PMP or similar project management certification
  4. Experience with manufacturing or lab environment networking
  5. Familiarity with network automation and orchestration
  6. CCNA or equivalent networking certification
  7. Experience with global infrastructure deployments
  8. Knowledge of network security best practices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
