The Team

The Customer Outcomes team at ServiceNow works with customers to help them achieve their business outcomes by providing prescriptive guidance. As part of the Customer Outcomes team, you will work with our customers to drive consumption, adoption, and customer satisfaction and ultimately help our customers grow their business on the ServiceNow platform by demonstrating the value of their ServiceNow investment.

The Role

The Sr. Technical Consultant for IT, Employee, Platform, or Customer Workflow is the functional and technical expert in customer engagements—consulting with clients and configuring ServiceNow products based on best practices, with the goal of accelerating and driving customer business outcomes.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Support the configuration of ServiceNow delivery modules focusing on best practices, emphasizing configuration over customization.
  • Assist in process definition, re-engineering, and gap analysis during workshops with key stakeholders.
  • Advise customers on leveraging standard capabilities of ServiceNow solutions to improve their processes.
  • Lead design workshops focused on ServiceNow platform and solution technology.
  • Guide customers in documenting business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, testing strategies, and facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Provide training and oversight for customer system administrators.
  • Lead technical aspects of project delivery, including oversight and testing of partner-developed solutions.
  • Participate actively in engagement teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop integration components such as SSO and LDAP.
  • Create portal components as needed.
  • Ensure the quality of all customer-facing deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Support sales activities as needed.
  • Mentor and train team members and partners.
  • Travel up to 50% annually based on client needs.

To be successful in this role you have:

FOR PTC:

  • Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification, plus Solution-Specific certifications (e.g., CIS-ITSM, CIS-HRSD, CIS-CSM) and/or Micro-Certifications.
  • Minimum 8+ years of configuration and development experience with complex technologies, including integrations and portals.
  • Ability to influence and consult in IT, HR, or Customer Service environments, providing strategic options and thought leadership.
  • Strong understanding of leading systems such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, SuccessFactors, UltiPro, Infor, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, and cultural awareness.
  • Proven team player and leader.

FOR STC:

  • Same certifications as above.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.

FOR TC:

  • Same certifications as above.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.

FOR ATC:

  • Experience with configuration and development, including integrations and portals.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
