FedEx is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Columbus, OH to maintain and repair package sorting and container handling equipment, and to service electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems following FedEx procedures.
The role requires a high school diploma/GED and four years of maintenance experience, including at least 24 months on FedEx sort systems or similar equipment, with strong physical stamina and safety awareness.
Maintains and repair all package sorting and container handling equipment; maintains all electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems in accordance with established FedEx maintenance procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma/GED
Four (4) years experience, of which 24 months being as a FedEx sort systems technician, or 24 months of maintenance on similar equipment/systems, as a commercial/industrial maintenance technician with background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic & materials handling systems maintenance.
Must possess good working knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment and procedures. Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy sort related components, parts and equipment with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good interpersonal and oral communications skills. Ability to access equipment by crawling, laying, standing and/or climbing at all heights both above and below ground level.
Must be willing to work odd work weeks, o/t, holidays & rotating shifts. Valid driver’s license required. Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
$33.00 - $43.41 hourly
The desired location for this position Columbus, OH (LCK) location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.

In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
