Job summary

Virgin Voyages is seeking a Senior Talent Development Specialist to deliver high-impact learning experiences and build leadership capability. The role focuses on designing structured development pathways for individual contributors and leaders, and enabling enterprise learning programs across the organization.

Based at VVHQ in Plantation, FL, this position follows a hybrid work model with Collaboration Days on Tuesdays–Thursdays and remote Mondays and Fridays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in HR, leadership, or talent development.
• Experience leading end-to-end development initiatives for defined employee groups.
• Experience designing and facilitating workshops for all levels.
• Experience leveraging digital platforms to build structured development pathways.
• Deep knowledge of adult learning theory and behavior change principles.
• Knowledge of change management as applied to learning initiatives.
• Proficiency across multiple learning modalities (in-person, virtual, blended).
• Ability to create inclusive, psychologically safe learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, cohort-based, and peer learning experiences.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of enterprise learning programs with planning and execution.

• Mentor facilitators and uphold facilitation standards.

The Gig:

The Senior Talent Development Specialist delivers high-impact learning experiences that build the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for business success. This role leads the delivery of enterprise learning programs, designs instructor-led workshops, measures

learning effectiveness, and ensures every learning experience reflects Virgin Voyages’ brand, culture, and learning standards. The role focuses on building leadership capability, strengthening role-based skills, and creating structured development pathways for individual contributors and leaders at all levels.

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can’t wait to ‘sea’ you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays’ as remote days.

What You’ll Be Up To:

Learning Delivery & Facilitation

• Facilitate engaging, learner-centered instructor-led, virtual, cohort-based, and peer learning experiences.
• Lead the end-to-end deployment of enterprise learning programs, ensuring seamless planning, coordination, communication, and execution.
• Adapt facilitation techniques to meet learner needs while maintaining established learning objectives and facilitation standards.
• Serve as the lead facilitator for enterprise learning initiatives and high-profile learning events.
• Mentor and coach facilitators, providing feedback to uphold Virgin Voyages’ facilitation standards and continuously elevate the learner experience.

Learning Design & Development

• Design instructor-led workshops that improve business performance by defining measurable performance outcomes and applying evidence-based adult learning principles.
• Develop experiential learning activities, facilitator guides, participant materials, and post-event strategies that reinforce behavior change.
• Partner with Instructional Designers as the subject matter expert during the development of eLearning, videos, simulations, and blended learning experiences.
• Support with content reviews and quality assurance audits to ensure digital learning experiences accurately reflect business processes, learning objectives, and Virgin Voyages standards.
• Refine workshop design on an ongoing basis using learner feedback, facilitator observations, and performance data.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

• Implement and maintain learning measurement strategies that evaluate learner experience, knowledge acquisition, behavior change, and business impact.
• Analyze learning data, participant feedback, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain instructor-led learning materials within assigned program areas, ensuring content remains accurate, current, and aligned with business needs.

Superpowers Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in HR, leadership, or talent development
• Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end development initiatives for defined employee groups (e.g., managers, emerging leaders, or new hires).
• Experience designing and facilitating engaging workshops for all levels from individual contributors to senior leaders
• Experience leveraging digital platforms through LMS and third party platforms (like LinkedIn Learning or similar) to build structured development pathways.
• Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, performance-based learning models, and behavior change principles, with practical application in workshop design
• Working knowledge of change management principles as applied to learning and development initiatives
• Proficiency across multiple learning modalities — instructor-led (virtual and in-person), cohort-based, and blended — with the ability to build in reinforcement beyond the initial session
• Ability to create psychologically safe, inclusive learning environments that maximize participation, discussion, practice, and application
• Ability to define and measure program impact
• Strong executive presence, with the ability to facilitate discussions confidently across all levels of leadership, up to and including senior leaders
• Able to travel as needed to facilitate on ships or corporate initiatives
